ポストカンファレンスワークショップ
9:00 - 12:00

設計工程の強化:設計チームから最大の価値を引き出すための方策

Many hospital administrators find themselves leading a major building project will little or no experience in selecting and working with a design team.  This facilitated session will provide an "insider's view" of how to get the best results from your design team, including: how to select them, negotiate their contract, define the scope of their work, and understand the design process and what to do if their design does not resonate with your constituents.

Participants will be encouraged, as an option, to share their respective projects or current challenges with the group.

Workshop Facilitator:

Bruce K. Komiske
V.P New Hospital Design and Construction, Erlanger Medical Center, United States

Bruce Komiske is considered a world expert on planning, designing and building children's hospitals.  As a hospital administrator, he was asked to take responsibility for creating Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI and from that point forward he realized that his passion was creating unique facilities that engaged the community and transformed the image of a hospital from a "prison" to a "healing environment". From Hasbro, Bruce went on to lead the teams to create many children's hospitals around the world, including the  Sidra Medical Center in Doha, Qatar and most recently,  the award winning, Lurie Children's Hospital, in Chicago (the world's tallest children's hospital).  He has lectured and consulted in over 25 countries and has published seven books, including; Designing the World Best Children's Hospitals, Vol. I, II, III.  He was recently featured in a "Hollywood Movie" about the creation of the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, where his character was played by Timothy Hutton.
