PEGSは、タンパク質工学の関連業界における重要イベントであり、タンパク質を利用した生物学的治療薬の開発を加速させるための方策などをめぐって活発な議論が展開されます。1週間にわたって展開されるこのイベントでは、製薬会社や大学、政府機関などで指導的な立場にある研究者によるケーススタディ、最新のデータを盛り込んだ研究発表、講演などが400件近く予定されており、世界各地から2,300人以上の出席者が集まります。このサミットのカンファレンスプログラムは、タンパク質工学、抗体工学、がん免疫療法、腫瘍学、新たな治療薬など幅広い分野のトピックを網羅します。
